Let's talk about cleaner safety - as much as we would like to believe that everyone in this world has good intentions, unfortunately, that's not always the case. Because of this, you need to take extra precautions when cleaning Airbnbs, STRs or other residences alone.

It's very likely that many of the folks who live in the same neighborhood as the property understand the coming and going patterns of guests, cleaners, etc.

So, with that in mind, what are some simple ways that you can protect yourself from dangerous situations:

  1. Always let someone you trust know where you'll be cleaning
  2. Always lock the doors once you have arrived at the property
  3. Avoid cleaning with headphones in so you can be aware of your surroundings
  4. If you ever feel uncomfortable, just leave and let the owner/manager know

No deadline, check-in, or other event should take priority over your safety. Please implement these simple changes to your routine to ensure you're keeping yourself safe from danger at all times!

As an organization dedicated to the success of STR cleaners, we take cleaner safety very seriously. We hope you'll consider becoming an official member of AVRCA and taking advantage of all that we have to offer.
